A Day by the Pool.

I grew up with a pool in my backyard and spent hours swimming and entertaining myself.  I love being in the water.

Sometimes it is nice to take an afternoon off and lounge in the sun and enjoy a nice swim.  This is exactly what I did last weekend.  A stack of magazines to catch up on, my favorite sunscreen, and a big hat and of course the dogs.  They loved relaxing in the sun.  Campbell even went for a dip in the pool and then proceeded to take a long nap after.

The day even ended with a trip for frozen yogurt.   A perfect summer day…

What have you been up to this summer?  What memories are you making?

We have a pool and I rarely have time it seems to lounge out there! You just made me realize that is the most insanely negligent thing I could do. Im going for a dip-thanks.

I'm just getting ready to go swimming in our pool - still feel it's the best addition & money spent on this house. Looks like you had a lovely pool day.

So glad you're enjoying your summer! I'm loving taking a random day off in the middle of a week to enjoy my home, city, and the luxury of taking an afternoon ballet class when I would ordinarily be working. To pad around my place, and cook, and just enjoy it without trying to do too much is so great.

Hi Grant! Obviously you are enjoying a lovely summer! I'm a bit envious
of your location there in one of the most beautiful cities in the world
and its ideal, cool climate! However, I'm in Daytona Beach, Florida, and
today we are living up to our reputation...THE SUNSHINE STATE!...and it
is hot and humid.

Your blog is like a breath of fresh, cool San Fran air every time it
comes, though. I'm a 71 year old man who thoroughly enjoys your
freshness, originality, and clever ideas. Keep on sending them, please!
