I love the process of designing pillows. After completing a project, I enjoy working with clients on layering just the right fabrics. For this project, I love the glow of the saffron color on the Indian textile and the grey Greek key against the rich caramel linen.
I'm currently designing custom bedding for a client. The color options are endless. All handsewn. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
This graphic blue-on-cream design is the perfect addition to a den with grey walls and a Chesterfield sofa. It is being made in Nepal as I write. Excited to get this sample soon.

I love the Indian textile in the first photo-beautiful detailing, but very subtle. I like designing pillows, also. And the thing about pillows is that they needs to be beautifully constructed, tiny welts, beautiful fringe/trim, sumptuous fabrics (not necessarily pricey) and high down count fillers. If the details aren't just right, the pillows will never quite measure up. Thanks for the great post. Mary
Grant!
I adore designing pillows. All the details and the finishing touch to a near perfect room or space. I would spend $$$$ to have these pillows made. I started giving them as a gift to my clients. It was a gift of love...Great article! `m
Love that Indian Flower from Michael Smith...it is to die for especially in that colorway!
Great examples of showing what we designers do all day!

So beautiful. I love the way you choose colors. N.G.
Love that fabric along with the greek key. Do you have a source? I am also working on my master bedroom bedding right now and love that combination!
The Indian textile is one of my favourite Michael Smith's fabrics. I have it covering my dining-room chairs ! Great with the Greek key though Cant wait to hear more about Moroccco ! Jenny
I LOVE the saffron and gray color combo. Definitely stealing that...
