Don't forget to send your thank yous!

Thank you to House Beautiful magazine for including me in their November issue with 101 DO's and Don'ts.

I love handwriting notes. In this world of emails, texts, facebook and tweets-it's nice to just pick up a pen and piece of paper once in a while and get back to the basics.

Don't you just love to open your mailbox and find a hand written note or invite inside? Personal stationary, wax seals, and specialty stamps add to the fun. Christmas is just around the corner. I can't wait for the colored envelopes and cards to fill my box......K

I love to send thank you notes after dinners with new friends and I print one of my B&W photographs on the card. Most of the times I receive a thank you note back!!!
Re: House Beautiful...it should arrive tomorrow in my mail, I hope. Congratulations.

Jennifer- I am guilty of the emailing them too. It's just such a nice touch to send a real note out or get one in the mail!

I couldn't agree more! I love a hand written note and on some beautiful stationary.

Also, I posted about your fabulous 'Tween Bedroom at the ELLE DECOR Showhouse today... so glad I had a chance to talk to you about it in person.

Congrats on all your recent success!

Hi Grant! Thank you so much for today's blog. I'm a 69 year old man who
loves to write THANK YOU notes and HI, HOW ARE YOU notes and HOPE YOU ARE
FEELING BETTER notes, etc. I have cards engraved with my name and,
invariably, people always mention that they so appreciated my note. It is
a nice, mannerly thing to do and it makes the writer and receiver feel
good. Thanks for mentioning it. It is way to close to being a thing of
the past!

I always phone a thank you, a day or two after a party or just a coffee at a friends home... I agree with a handwritten note, I will keep it in my mine and send one after the next date... thank you for the reminder. I find with email and texting etc we have all forgot to be more personnal with our thank yous...
Regards, Carol Ann

Totally agree with the handwritten note. I have recently put a few in different places so when I remember I can just reach and write!

And, I took your advice to boot! Lovely seeing you in this issue, Sir. Lovely... but not surprising, that is. ;)

Yes! I worked with Bell'Invito for years, and am so glad to hear when other people encourage to "write often."

I saw your work on PVE. Between the two of you, you created some gorgeous eye candy. Mmm!
