You may remember a few months back when I posted: Why are Porta potties so ugly?
(just in case you missed this fascinating discovery of porta potties disguised with trellis, you can check it out HERE)
I think that you might agree that this might actually take the prize for the most attractive option. Only a block from my apartment, I had to check it out. At first glance, I thought it was the real deal. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it was a porta potty in the style of a London phone booth.
This is not something that you see everyday. Brilliant. What do you think? Is this taking it too far? Or it is clever and creative? Would love to know what you think.

I'm going with clever and creative! At the very least, it makes a boring and ugly porta potty look a lot more fun!
Clever and creative! Love it!
Clever and creative! Love it!
Oh, I just love it! Wish these were standard! Really!
Simply brilliant. Love that crowning touch. I feel an idea coming on....PortaPotty slipcovers!!! Washable of course.
Love it. I thought it was a phone booth too!!!
Have to say, I LOVE IT!! Super clever.... Can we start a petition to make this an industry standard?? Perhaps a more American version.... I'm seeing a phone booth with a Clark Kent/Superman theme... Just a thought.....
Sometimes you've got to put lipstick on a pig.

This is great. Port a potties are really huge eyesores. Anything to camoflauge them is appreciated, especially something as clever as this!
They listened to you, no more boring Porta potties.
That is exactly what Dan Larsen, owner of Larsen Builders thought when he designed this porta potty. Isn't it amazing!? I hope other contractors will get inspired in dressing up their eyesores as well.
Cheers,
Claudia
Well done! Are you sure you are not part of the plan? They must know that a famous designer lives there...
Love it! On what street is it? I'll be in your neighborhood today and would like to take a look.

Very clever and creative - this Brit loves it :)

Let's eradicate ugly and replace it with whimsy. In no time, more pit stops, jobs, and smiles. :-)
Add a Tardis, a Lincoln Log cabin, Big Ben; a pyramid, Tower Bridge, an upright mummy case; miniature Chrysler, Empire State, and Flat Iron buildings; bee hives, a wedding cake, Lego Loos....
Don't you feel happier already? The possibilities are limitless and almost too delightful to contemplate!
I LOVE THE IDEA GRANT!!!

I think it's a great idea, much more pleasing to see in appropriate places where no other facility is available. Thank you to whomever came up with the idea.

Absolutely brilliant!!
I think it's a great idea and it serves the greater good...visual acceptance.
I wonder if the Brits are now making their phone booths look like latrines? Vince
Oh why couldn't the developer of the house next door to me have thought of this!
Right now I have the "privilege" of looking out my Dining Room french doors at porta potty 30 ft away! Needless to say I can't wait until the construction is finished.
Congrats on the NY Times article. Michele
Best idea I have seen in years! I think every town should adopt an ordinance so every home renovation has to have a decorative porta potty.
I love it!

LOVE IT THANKS GRANT

Great concept. BTW, we are very familiar with Larsen builders. They remodeled our kitchen a few years ago. We still get comments from people on how functionally creative and beautiful it came out. This was a galley kitchen folks, so the possibilities were not necessarily limitless. That said, Larsen builders really transformed it.
loved it! all show have disguises like that!
Love the designer portable toilets. I wonder if they have the same idea for restroom trailers? I know that they have restroom wraps to make them appear more aesthetically pleasing. On with the portable restroom rental revolution!
