Summer vacations

Villa del Balbianello, Lake Como, Italy

France

Remember when you were a kid and all you could think about was the count down until that last school bell rang and that meant that you were free for the summer?

Well, summer is here!

I was just looking at some of my photos from some of my vacations over the years. Such memories. Smiling, laughing and exploring new places...

Venice, Italy

This of course got me thinking about some of my next vacation plans and where I would like to go next.

Sicily

Where are you going this summer? Any place fun? New? Exciting? Different?

Just came back from a little weekend away with Mr. EE to NYC. Will go to Rosemary Beach in Florida and to Monteagle Sunday School Assembly (Google it or go to my blog...it's really charming) here in TN, but no place as glamorous as your photos. We were in London and Paris two years ago but stayed in hotels... so we are hoping to rent an apartment in Paris or a house in south of France next summer with our two sons. It's more like living there than just being a tourist when you shop in the markets and walk the neighborhood streets.

Vacations! Oh! that is the word that I like to hear.

I totally remember the ring of the bell, and the first ice cream of the season.

Happy Summer!

It looks like my business-related trip to Florida might have been my summer vacation. In any case, it was a great change of scenery and I did manage to work in some visits to remarkable sites.

These pictures are great. I was just in Italy this summer in Milan. It truly is a beautiful country and it felt like every 2 minutes I'd have to take my camera out again and attempt to capture the beauty!
