Elle Decor showcase
Wondering what I have been working on lately?
It has been a busy summer, but with Labor Day now gone, I am focusing on getting my fall projects wrapped up before the end of the year.
I have a few projects under construction, but this might be one of the most exciting that I have worked on in a long time.
I am thrilled to announce that I am designing a room in the first Elle Décor showcase house! The house opens to the public in November, so I will be sure to announce all of the details soon so you can see it in person, and when you can see it all on the pages of Elle Décor.
Until then, I have a room under construction with no walls, so if there is anyone that wants to see it all come together, it’s me!
If you haven’t figured it out, I am doing a little girls bedroom. What girl doesn’t dream of hand painted de Gournay wallpaper, bedding from Serena & Lily, benches from Jonathan Adler , custom window treatments by my favorite workroom Madina Aryeh and jute from Merida!
I look forward to sharing the project with you as it progresses in the next few weeks.

Grant, I love it! I am sure it will be fabulous. What city is hosting the showhouse?
Thanks Paloma! The house is in SF this year! It's the first house they have done. Excited to share with everyone. More posts and photos to come for sure.
way to get in touch with your inner little girl. i'm sure maisie would love it.
I was wondering...This is great and I am looking forward to see the finished project. Congratulations to you and to Elle Decor for this wonderful idea.
gorgeous! i can't wait to see it. i love that chinoiserie.
It already looks great! Can't wait to check it out in November. Good luck!
Grant,
How nice and a great way to release from our world of uncertain times. I remember my room feeling safe and creative and drawing an invisible line down the center so my younger sister would stay on her side or else! Fun memories.

Terri-
Thanks for re-listening to my interview.
I have actually never listened to it. I hate the way my voice sounds on tape!
Thanks for your ongoing support!

It's a great room, and your sketch gets me excited about coloiur again.
Best,

Beautiful design work! Look forward to seeing the home in Elle Decor. Unfrotunately I am too far away to be there.
Have a nice day!
Teresa
Can't wait to see--the design look so pretty and fun and glam!
The room looks so smart, and de Gournay- I love it. That gives it such credibility. Children, in this case, girls should start young, I for one love hearing what those little potential clients might want. Such fun. Impressive and congrats! pgt
Congratulations Grant for being on "Rue" I hope to see a post from you on it soon. Ciao.
It's me again...in my interview with Ivan Meade (http://meadedesigngroup.blogspot.com/2010/09/in-conversation-with-albarosa-simonetti.html) I said I wish to decorate a room "with" a child or "with" a teenager. Looking forward to see your project.
Grant, this is AMAZING! So fabulous! j'adore!
congrats! I hope to be able to come to SF and see your work for myself. Please do share some photos during construction and of course when completed.
Thanks for sharing
