Lunch with Michael Hampton
One of the greatest parts of having this blog is the opportunity to have met some wonderful people across the country and world. Not only emailing but also getting to meet in person. It's amazing to me that a blog can bring people with common interests together!
This wasn't really my intention when I started to share things with the world- but this has come as a wonderful and welcome surprise.
Today, I had the most wonderful lunch at Garibaldi's in San Francisco (one of my favorite places for lunch) with designer/artist/blogger- Michael Hampton and his charming partner David (who have been visiting from Washington DC)
We had never met before lunch today (but knew that we had so many friend around the country in common)- but had chatted by email over the last year. I was always loving to read Michael's adventures in design and their joint blog on traveling and food.
People often ask my why I blog and keep it up. This is why. It is so wonderful to meet with perfect strangers that really don't seem like strangers at all. We chatted for hours about design, food, travel, dogs- you name it. I am so looking forward to seeing them again in April for an upcoming trip I have planned to DC.
If you haven't seen Michael's blog- check it out along with their beautiful house that they just renovated in DC that was just featured on Apartment Therapy
