Madame Butterfly- La Fenice
WOW!
I am back home- had the BEST trip- but I do love my own bed and my apartment (love my internet connection!) and now just getting back to normal again (after driving to Carmel and back yesterday for a very successful installation for a client)
One of the highlights of the trip was going to the opening night of Madame Butterfly and sitting in the front row! ( I only had my iphone with me so the quality isn't that great- I just loved the green jacket that this woman in the foyer was wearing- the fashion was over the top chic with some of the biggest diamond rings I have ever seen!)
I took about 4,000 photos of the trip and I look forward to posting different fun events in the Venice...check back for some exciting things!

You look great, but the aunties.... they look divine!!!! (Actually, all four of you do!)
Madama Butterfly makes me cry every time and seeing it at the "reborn" Fenice must have been very special. I am glad you enjoyed Venezia and I am looking forward to see more images.
Puccini as well. Grant, this is my ultimate Venetian fantasy.
Her jacket reminds me of salt water taffy & ribbon candy. Yummy..the jacket, that is.
Hi Grant -- I was at an estate sale this week when I spied a copy of La Fenice. I thought about you and this post. I bought the book with the intention of sending it along to you. If you're interested, please email me your address. It's just a little thing to say thank you for your writing.
