Ken Fulk- Wilde Child
"CONSISTENCY IS THE LAST REFUGE OF THE UNIMAGINATIVE"- reads the Oscar Wilde quote that adorns the front window of Ken Fulk's SoMa (for those not from SF- that is south of Market Street) design studio and loft (a 14,000 square foot building!!!)
You can also check out his amazing place in Napa featured in House Beautiful
Ken is in the most recent San Francisco magazine featuring his space (February 2009- by Diane Dorrans Saeks)
I am still working out my camera and need to get a better flash...sorry- all moody light- candles everywhere- great music- a house cocktail- great view of the city off the terrace...and for those of you on the east coast with 5 degree weather- this is why we live in California!
Check out his dramatic draped four-poster bed that divides the dressing room from the rest of the loft-black satin cotton banded with white grosgrain ribbon. (Did I mention the 16 foot ceilings?)
The bathroom sink-1920's French by Porcher with the Waterworks tub with the fabulous arm used for a towel bar!
1920's Steinway grand that once was owned by pianist Alfred Cortot (with his signature)
Look at the way his clothes are displayed with a Polaroid of each item in black suit bags!
It's just SEXY!
Ken spoke this afternoon at the Design Center and then hosted a FAB party for Boris Vervoordt (Axel's son)...
