I must confess - I love ice cream. There: I said it. Something about a little bowl at the end of the day (trust me- I would love nothing more than to take a whole container with a spoon and eat it all in one sitting- but that wouldn't make it a treat now, would it?) One of my all-time flavors is coffee. We have been having a very cold winter in San Francisco- but this doesn't seem to stop my love of ice cream.
What do you think of ice cream? What are your favorite flavors? Do you eat it even when its cold outside?

Peach....most brands, as long they have big chunks of peaches....feels like summer, even in winter! (of course homemade is the best!)
I confess - I LOVE ice cream as well. Perhaps it stems from my childhood, but something about a bowl of ice cream dressed up with some nuts and a little choclate sauce or just on its own always seems to make me feel better!
I eat way more ice cream and gelato in the summer - brain freeze and body freeze don't suit me.
But I am resorting to custard instead of icecream as a side dish to my pies...
Whereas I am a little more indiscriminate about the weather and chocolate...
Breyers Chocolate or Coffee ice cream...perfection!

we just found a salted caramel gelato that is heavenly. i read somewhere recently that whole foods'365 brand vanilla won a blind tasting- so that's next on my to-try list. mix-ins (ben and jerry's late-night snack) are always a lovely treat too.
yes, i love ice cream!
I scream, you scream...we all scream! I love mint chocolate chip.
I'm all about the chocolate and the caramel in a vanilla base. Yummo!
Ever since I was a kid, I've had a small bowl of ice cream 6 out of 7 nights a week. Anything Breyers is my favorite (it just tastes real) although I love Haagen-Dazs vanilla.
Ice cream is amazing. Greek yogurt ice cream is our new discovery. Has a tang like cheesecake.
I just read an article about you in Elle Decor and am thrilled to find your blog and designs.
I too LOVE ice cream and gelato and eat it during the four seasons here in the East coast. Have you tried the #1 ice cream in the USA made in Ohio called "Jeni's ice cream?" You can order hand-packed pints online or find a local store that carries it. They use local and organic ingredients. I love the brown butter almond brittle, pistachio & honey, dark chocolate, riesling poached pear sorbet and mango flavors. They do have a flavor called "black coffee."
Once you try this, all other ice cream brands will have to live up to it. I discovered it two years ago by researching the top ice creams in the USA.
Coffee! Hagen-das coffee. In the winter.
