Happy New Year!

On my way back to the office after a meeting a few weeks ago, I decided to stop at the beach and enjoy my lunch and a few moments of relaxation.  (It was a hectic holiday season with many amazing client projects that needed some final touches for the New Year.)  It was pouring down rain and to my surprise-I spotted a rainbow.   It was such a wonderful moment in time.  Naturally, I made a wish.  This reminded me of how grateful I am to have so many wonderful clients, friends and creative outlets that fulfill my life.

I was sitting down last night addressing New Year’s cards - because we like to send our greetings out after the start of the year.  I always think it is a nice surprise to people to ring in the New Year with a greeting.  What do you think?  Are you a traditionalist who sent your cards out weeks ago?  Personally, I like reflecting on each person that I write to and thanking them for a wonderful year prior.

Happy 2013!

Looking forward to sharing my adventures!

Love the rainbow! I try to remind myself to steal little moments like that and enjoy nature and inspiration around me - can be tricky in busy times! Our company has started sending out Thanksgiving cards - they're not controversial (like Happy Holidays vs. Merry Christmas), and it's fun to get a note at an unexpected time - sort of the same theory as your New Year cards. I like it!

We send out a holiday card we design ourselves. This year it showed the moon jellies at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. There is always a personal message written inside and best wishes for the coming year.

Happy New Year to you!

Happy New Year to you as well. 2012 was a great year, however, 13 is my lucky number, so I am counting on finding my fortune this year (big lottery winner?) and then promptly inviting (begging) you to come east and design/decorate my home. Love your blog postings...k

I also send out new year cards! With so much going on in December, I feel holiday cards get lost - but January is fresh and new and considerably calmer. Love the elegant simplicity of your cards.

New Year cards are so much better! Christmas is already too much of a frenzy, thank you for a glimpse of your orderly celebrations.
