Let's eat!

I think that with all of the traveling that I have been doing lately, it makes me even happier to be able to spend time in the kitchen and try out new things.

I love making things that are simple, easy and fresh.

I am loving what I am finding these days at smittenkitchen.com

That's where I found this amazing pizza recipe with shaved asparagus and also the cauliflower with rasins, capers and almonds. Nothing is better than exploring the farmers market, popping into the wine shop and spending some time in the kitchen. Cooking is relaxing to me. I can't explain the feeling that I get when I am alone and being creative.

This is just what I made a few nights ago. I tend to make things are simple. I tried making my own pizza dough (check out this recipe for a 2 hour rise time).

My favorite dressing these days: 2 tablespoons of olive oil, a crushed fresh garlic clove, salt/pepper, 1 teaspoon of dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon of sherry vinegar.

What have you been cooking this summer?

I love smitten kitchen!! I made the blueberry crumb bars a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about them. Your food looks divine and is making me very hungry.

YUM!!!!!!!!!!!
That looks amazing. I love cooking too, cooking real food, slowly and with deliberation. Nothing compares to the taste of fresh food and good wine.
Thank you for the inspiration!

I buy a bunch of tiny romano tomatoes and then slooooow cook them in the oven. 250 oven. Cut them in half lengthwise, lightly gloss with good olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt, sprinkle with fresh rosemary. Put in the oven and let them just dry out. It will take 6+ hours, and your house will smell fab.u.lous!

Speaking of pizza- we just grilled pizza last week. Directly on the grill, over the flames. It was great, and not as hard as it seems! Thanks for the inspiration!

Looks divine. I need to show this to my husband. He's just like you, loves to shop the farmer's market and cook:)

I could not see your pizza dough recipe but as an Italian I make pizza always starting measuring the water, since every flour is different, its quantity is variable. Always add little flour, work with a fork, add more flour, work with a fork etc. until you need to use your hands for the dough. Those dishes on your table look very tempting. Ciao.
