How was my vacation really a week ago? 6 days and nights full of relaxing and fun times. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom (sneeze- ah- choo). Meeting friends for lunches and dinners. No meetings- wandering and exploring with no real plan or agenda. I think that I kind of forgot what vacations were like. Did I mention the 12 hours of sleep in the most comfortable bed? In a way I sort of turned off and didn't take very many photos at all- which is rare for me (these are all from my iphone) Here are a few highlights. I think that two of my favorites highlights of the trip might have been the Hirshhorn and the cherry blossom cupcake! DC is a wonderful city and I look forward to visiting again soon.

So odd to see my neighborhood on your blog! HA
Glad to see you had a great vacation in our fair city :-)
Wouldn't you love to see the inside of those houses... the outside is amazing.
Gorgeous!!!
What an awesome Cupcake! The Cherry blossoms are beautiful! Makes me want to head to DC!
Such a great city. I can't wait to plan another trip.
And have another cupcake too!
How I miss visiting the city! Loved the wonderful photos, and would love if you would expound on the bed so comfortable you slept 12 hours!
The bed was HUGE! No dogs to walk bright and early in the morning. Lovely soft white sheets- great pillows- nice duvet and this blanket that was a waffle weave- just lovely. I could check in just to sleep 12 hours again!
Wonderful photos, Grant!
Can you provide more information about pic 'IMG 4778' ?

IMG 4778 I am pretty sure is the Cosmo Club on the way from Dupont Circle to Embassy Row.
